4th Annual MDA Benefit Car Show

Well folks, the time has come again....

As many here know, I have muscular dystrophy, 1 of over 40 different types effect my daily life as well as a lot of my fathers side of the family. Since I was dianosed at age 2, The Muscular Dystrophy Association has been a part of my life. Clinics, Surgeons, Specialists, Braces, Dr's visits, and the most important part Summer camp.....was provided at no cost to me or my family. To most summer camp doesnt seem to be that big of a deal...to those with disabilities its the only thing a lot of these kids have to look forward to. A week in their lives where no one laughs, no one judges them, they are carefree kids who dont have to worry about drs and rules and worries of every day cruel real world people. At camp, we find love, truth, fun, friends, laughter, and an expierence that we look forward to every year.

My mom and I started this car show as my way to tie my love for cars together with my friends that also love cars and giving back to MDA for all they have done for me. A small contributation to hopefully finding a cure. Some maybe someday there will be no little kids who need MDA summer camp (although its wonderful, itd be even better to have no kids with MD). Last year we presented a check to MDA at the local telethon for a little over $600, this year we want to make it a bigger check. It costs clost to $3000 to put this show on every year and without sponsors and participants, we cant do it.

We have a decent amount of pre-reg rollin in. We are short on sponsors this year though, so if anyone has a business they would like to promote fairly cheap all while helping out a charity please pm me.

Should have another good showing of Fbodies and all sorts of cool rides. Last year we had 99 cars, the year before we had 110+. Hoping for 120+ this year.

HOTEL INFO :

Our hosting hotel is LITERALLY at the parking lot we will be setting up by. So you could park your car in the lot for the show and have it there and ready to go for the show the next day.

When calling to reserve please say " MDA CAR SHOW BLOCK " to get the discount. Normally these rooms are 199.99 per night. Call early!

There are other hotels in the area, I can provide a list if needed of other locations but rates I am unsure what they will be.

Hardee's is donating 10% of ALL sales between 7am and 10am
HOOTERS is donating 10% of ALL sales between 1pm and 3pm

Please support these two places of business on June 19th, they are co-sponsors of the show and are the two parking lots we will be using for the show itself.

There will be massage therapists at the show, all tips will be donated to MDA!
We are working on a "Smash Fest" as well, a car will be brought in to "smash" for $5.00 for x amount of time, with all money going to MDA.


LOTS of new stuff this year and should be great fun!
