If you wire it correctly, the resistor set up will be fine.
You can also opt to replace the lock clylinder & the ignition key. That is not super tough, just need to disassemble the steering coulmn. Need a lock plate removal tool etc. Can be a job if you've never done them before. Just have to determain what # pass key your car is by testing the pellet resistance to get the properly coded keys. CODE/RESISTOR VALUE IN OHMS Code 1= 402 ohms resistance measured on the key pellet & so on; 2/523 3/681 4/887 5/1130 6/1470 7/1870 8/2370 9/3010 10/3740 11/4750 12/6040 13/7500 14/9530 15/11800 |
